This entry is part 278 of 454 in the series CommanderCast

Hello everyone and welcome to CommanderCast Episode 267! We’re your weekly source for Community, Strategy, and Technology, hosted on MTGcast.com and our homesite CommanderCast.com! This week Mark is joined by Adam as they  discuss Windows More. Do you have your opponents against the rope? Is the game one move away from being over? Do you take this opportunity to end the game… or do you proceed to play more than needed to insure your victory? If you chose the second option… you might be interested in today’s episode.

Free-for-all-Roundtable: What’s the definition of a “win-more” card? (Actually, it’s right here, in case you were wondering.)

Strategy:

Possibly my favorite title for a Strategy segment ever: “when to finally cut all that win-more bullshit from your deck.”

  1. Define your win con(s)
    1. Some things that seem like win more can just be your actual win con (like Craterhoof Behemoth)
    2. Can you fit your strategy for the deck into a single sentence? Once you can, stick to that plan and cut out the things that don’t directly support it.

  1. Stay focused on making your win-con happen
    1. Instead of running a win-more card, run win insurance cards: Dauntless Escort, Pact of Negation, Golgari Charm

Technology:

Adam – Loxodon Hierarch, Eerie Interlude, Thwart

Mark – Stonewood Invocation, Seize the Day, Aetherize
