This week, rather than take on something within the game itself, Eric and Nole take on how the game is played. Specifically looking at commander tournaments. While Eric’s opinion comes as a shock to no one (For those of you just tuning in, Eric is a super-competitive player who enjoys crushing the dreams of unborn commander players while they are still in the womb), Nole’s opinion may surprise you. Give it a listen and let us know what you think in the comments below. As always, full shownotes after the break.

0:00-18:46 New cards, new foils, and new news.

It seems like only two weeks ago when we were knee deep in Journey into Nix spoilers, and already we are into magic’s Summer set release. Conspiracy is just around the corner and new cards a being spoiled every day. Eric and Nole look at the two new legends, as well as the New planswalker Dak Fayden. They also talk about the new judge foils, as well as updates to their decks.

18:46-45:04 Commander Tournament

Commander tournaments are a somewhat controversial topic in the EDH community, as they can quite easily draw out the worst in our community and trample the social contract. Both Eric and Nole think that commander tournaments can be a positive thing. However, they disagree on how to best run commander events. Take a listen and give us your opinion in the comments below.
