A few weeks ago I was struck with the urge to start a comic.  I had no characters, I had no real story I wanted to tell, and I really hadn’t the slightest clue as to where to begin.  What I did have was a nagging ambition to create something in the comic media.  On Monday night (08/19/14)  I sat down and drew a character, then other, and before I knew it I had four.   From there things stared falling into place, and by the end of the week I had a mostly finished comic featuring four delightful little anthropomorphic friends who play Commander that I had taken to calling Dusters.

Hey look at that I ended up making another Dusters, and in a timely fashion.  Not only that I have several more ideas, and currently Dusters 03 and Dusters 04 are in progress.  So when can you expect Dusters?  Well I am going to try and post weekly so fingers crossed ,and let’s hope that I can keep up with the schedule.  I know that Dusters isn’t anything groundbreaking visually but it does take me a fair amount of time to make, edit, and lay out each panel.  So enjoy “The Play” and don’t forget to follow Dusters on Facebook, Tumblr, or Twitter…you know, if you want.  It would be very much appreciated and then you will be less likely to miss any Dusters action.

This week’s Dusters is called “the Spirit of Commander.”  This particular strip has taken me several weeks of work and has been a fun challenge.  It also features a few of my son’s dinosaur drawings in one of the panelsI  want to give a steaming pile of thanks to Patrick and Stephen who have been gracious enough to help me edit, polish, and work the kinks out of each Dusters so far.  I really appreciate and value their input and advise.  This whole thing is a learning experience and things are constantly evolving, changing, and getting better and I am glad that they have been willing to lend me a hand.  As always I hope you enjoy.  Also it should be noted that any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead, in this comic are purely coincidental.  I am totally not winking right now.

This week’s Dusters is called “the Banned List Update.”    I had not intended to have another appearance by the Commander Commander so soon, and especially not in back to back webcomic strips, but the announcement of the Banned List simplification and unbannings screamed for his inclusion.  I was actually working on completely different Dusters at the time when the announcement happened and that one has now been pushed back a week or two (woohoo another weeks worth of content).  As always I hope you enjoy this week’s Dusters and feel free to follow on Facebook, Tumblr, or Twitter if you so choose.
