So, it looks like I have a column now.

Hmm… Where to start? This is the first thing I’m writing here, so it should probably be some type of introduction, something semi-biographical to tell you a bit about who I am, right? Ok then…

My legend begins in the 12th century… Huh? No? Fine…

Ok, basic information… That stuff is boring, I’d probably skip over it and scroll until I saw some real content or a picture or something… Fine, I’ll give you both!

“If I said that there were three important kinds of cards for EDH, what would you think they were?”

I asked this to the wonderful people of the internet and, for my first attempt at audience participation, I’d say it went pretty well. (Be prepared for more.)

Some of the more popular choices were things like bombs, card advantage, threats, answers, utility, and ramp.

I’ve decided to do things a bit differently this week, a double feature, narrative on page 1, other content on page two – page two is completely unrelated, so feel free to read them in whichever order you wish.

I had planned on putting off gameplay narrativizations for a while, but with the recent legend rule changes, this seems to be all I can do to  prevent myself from collapsing into a ranting pile of nerdrage. So, I’ve come up with my own flavor rationalization of how things now occur:

Brothers and sisters, I come before you today to show you the true face of the devil. You may have heard talk of the evils of this so called “Magic: The Gathering.”

For a while now good, God fearing, people have dismissed it as “just a card game”, God have mercy on their souls. But they’ve too soon forgotten the bewitching powers of the occult!
