This entry is part 103 of 354 in the series CommanderCast

Hello Commandercast Faithful, true believers, and everything right with the internet! This week, I’m trying out my hand putting in a sequencial transition. It’s a mystery wrapped in a burrito, wrapped in darkness. Can you figure out what we’re talking about in between segments (hint: It should be fairly obvious)?

Oh, and I guess we’re actually going to spend some time talking about Commander too, with the return of “Deck Archetype Rundown” and “The Entourage”.

As always, shownotes, links, and download link are below.

Welcome to CommanderCast’s 100th episode!

Two years after some humble beginnings, we’ve reached this point. The audioscape adventure across the once-wild frontier of EDH has rumbled through all kinds of strange and exotic territories now, picking up and dropping off co-hosts, guests, and contributors as it’s moved. I’d like to think in it’s wake, the virtual caravan has left everyone changed in some way for the positive–more enlightened, more social, better at the game, but above all else entertained and informed.

For this special episode, I’ve assembled CommanderCast’s Centurions: a legion of guests and co-hosts from across the history of the show who have answered the call specifically for this feature. Together, twenty different voices will attack a broad range of subjects. There’s something for everyone in these nine topics, with as many viewpoints as I could squeeze in recording them over almost three months. I hope to take EDH players everywhere into 2013 with a really unique experience. It’s a long one, and there’s a lot in the show notes, so you might want to just sit back and enjoy this one to the fullest with this page at the ready for links and such. Also, there’s lots of ways to get in touch with the various people you’re hearing here. Don’t hesitate to do so to further the discussion.

Thanks to everyone who helped out with the recording and production of the show! I know some of the times were a bit of a hassle so I appreciate all the Centurions putting in a little extra effort to be true Gs and make it to the recordings.

It started out innocently enough but at some point, this beast took on a mind of it’s own.

I’m referring, of course, to our final segment this week. Spoiler alert: Karona, False God Entourage goes big. Big enough that it becomes the first-ever MEGA-ENTOURAGE [explosion]. For more, just listen to the podcast.

Oh yeah, and the rest of it is pretty good too. I tagged in my man Chad from Commander Shenanigans and then also summoned up two of CommanderCast’s mightiest warriors, Sean and Brionne, to throw dirty fire into this cipher. The four of us go over the now-standard wide range of largely audience-suggested topics. We discuss ban-ability of cards and their availability, Sharuum the Hegemon, and also give Chad a little time to pimp his jam before we take it into the Karona joint.

Be sure to tune in next week for our first and only episode entirely devoted to the 1v1 Duel Commander, as well as a special extra podcast dropping on Tuesday.

This week we went to Shauku’s House for another Entourage segment featuring everyone’s… uh… worst vampire in their collection, Shauku, Endbringer. It was out in the middle of nowhere, not many people were around, and we left feeling worse than ever, but we still did it. Accompanying me for this trip into regret and sorrow were Imshan, Justin and very special guest Dave Lee aka Derfington aka Mr. Durdling Around aka The Grand Imperial Celestial Archduke of Pimpology and Lord of All The Arts. We also did some stuff other than the Shauku thing, so I guess you shouldn’t necessarily just skip to that and then turn off your media player.

It’s week two for placing orders for Gifts Given 2012 shirts, hoodies, and so on. Don’t forget–you’re not just getting clothing, you’re giving to a great cause and even entering yourself in a draw for some Super Secret Mystery Prizes. I guess they’re not that mysterious given you can access a full list of them, but still… things! Plus charity! And garments. A winning team.

Thirteen episodes of this, and surely we’re all ready for a break. It’s CommanderCast’s season finale for the sixth time! For this recording we were tragically one short as power failures ravaged D-Money’s gilded palace, but we still recorded an episode because it seemed like the right thing to do. Brionne and Sean joined me for a podcast where we decide to take this set of episodes into the sunset with one of the most diverse ranges of topics possible, including a mailbag segment and our first-ever Tryhard Entourage.

During the transition between seasons, I will be working out the exact means of distributing CommanderCast T-shirts for this year’s Gifts Given charity drive. Before we even get started with any other details, I’d like to thank my bank for being a fucking useless bureaucratic obstacle in this endeavour. With that flash of bitterness out of the way, I will be spending a lot of time in the next three weeks organizing a way to get a pimp-ass t-shirt for a good cause onto your body. There’s no way for me to guarantee I can have everything in place for the start of season 7 but I’ll do what I can.

Anyway, thirteen episodes later, I’m more tired of my own voice than ever and I’m sure most of y’all are too.
