Over the last few months, EDH tables all across the world have been shaking with the might of five new powerhouse hitters: the gods of Theros.

And now with Born of the Gods, we have five more entering the fray:

Ephara, God of the PolisPhenax, God of DeceptionMogis, God of SlaughterXenagos, God of RevelsKarametra, God of Harvests

Only time will tell if these new deities invade our tables like the previous gods have, but it helps to kick off our first two-week theme here on Commandercast: All things Theros/Born of the Gods!

Today, we’re using our show to discuss devotion with Tom of MTGRadio streaming fame, and Brian aka ISBPathfinder, local MTGSalvation mod and mono-colored aficionado.

How about that? This is a show we recorded two weeks back! Who knew? Well, that doesn’t mean that this stuff isn’t relevant. At the time of this recording, some weird things were going done with our partner in hosting MTG Cast. However, everything’s smoothed over there, so we can just call it a “what if” scenario. What if Commandercast didn’t have an MTG Cast outlet? What if the competition died off? What if Emmara HADN’T been switched with Voice of Resurgence? The madness of it all!

We also have some new news regarding Gifts Given 2013, (some of it moreso in the shownotes below than the show itself because of how long ago it was recorded), and we go ahead and just do some bread and butter strategy and technology discussion, including our speculation and anticipation for some Theros stuff!

And before you ask, I’m not sure what the progress for us figuring out the RSS feed is. If it’s there, great! If not, we’ll get right on that.

Hey folks, it’s been a while! William here, and I’m back with a shiny new computer that won’t crap out on me like my tired old laptop. Naturally, a new profile picture was needed to fit the “newness” that’s going on around here, but we’ll get into that in today’s episode.

In fact, we’ve got a ton of stuff to catch-up on. So much so that we kinda broke the segments and just recorded a conglomerate of topics together. Sorry about that. We’ll be back to form next week, hopefully with a new theme song too!

On today’s overloaded plate, we actually take some time to remember and talk about the tragic events of 12 years ago regarding 9/11 (as I feel it’s important to talk about something that touched absolutely everyone in one way or another).

But we’ll also get back to some light hearted stuff by touching on our thoughts regarding Theros, and lead into the prime attraction for today’s feature: The Return to Ravnica review!

(One of my favorite things to look up with “Return to Ravnica” in the search engine. Credit to whoever did this.)

As always, shownotes can be found after the Ib.
