Strategy
Shards/Wedges vs. Guilds (3-color vs. 2-color decks)
Advantages of 3- vs. 2- color (and vice versa)
- 3-color gives you more options, but tends toward more “good stuff”
- 2-color allows for more focus, but you’re probably waxing up your hipster moustache
- 3-color is more popular and probably just objectively more powerful, but Mark and Adam are old men who shout at children to get off their lawn so they prefer 2-color.
Technology
Retro-cycle Review: the “Soul of…” Cycle from M15
-
- Soul of Innistrad (806 decks – also printed in Commander 2018)
- Soul of New Phyrexia (5442 decks – also printed in Commander 2018)
- Soul of Ravnica (95 decks)
- Soul of Shandalar (157 decks)
- Soul of Theros (374 decks)
- Soul of Zendikar (351 decks – if you pop out tokens at a worse rate than Centaur Glade, you can gtfo)
