This entry is part 436 of 538 in the series CommanderCast

Hello everyone and welcome to CommanderCast Episode 405! This week Mark and Adam want to ask… does the”pushed” cards made by WotC actually make a difference in Commander? Sure there are some but are they the exception to the rule? Then later we go over Discard and try to see if we can find a place for it. We wrap it up a quick look at some of the non legendary cards from the new Jumpstart product and evaluate where they go.

All that, plus our usual interstitial fodder, and all you have to do is Click the IB!!!

Keep up with the conversation on Facebook & Twitter.

Controversial opinion?: “Pushed” cards don’t often make much of an impact in EDH

Exceptions to this pattern:

Interstitial fodder:

  • Worth Watching: Once Upon a Time in the West; seasons 1 & 2 of Dark
  • I’m pretty early in to say for sure, but Doom Patrol might just be bad (the comics, not the show).
  • FF5 and job systems and why they suck

Discard revisited? (Tinybones reconsidered)

  • Turning symmetrical discard into asymmetrical discard
  • Aggro-control?

New non-Legendary Jumpstart cards that might be worth a damn in EDH.

Hmmm, I wonder where they got that Blessed Sanctuary art from?
