Dusters 01 – Infinite

A few weeks ago I was struck with the urge to start a comic. I had no characters, I had no real story I wanted to tell, and I really hadn’t the slightest clue as to where to begin. What I did have was a nagging ambition to create something in the comic media. On Monday night (08/19/14) I sat down and drew a character, then other, and before I knew it I had four. From there things stared falling into place, and by the end of the week I had a mostly finished comic featuring four delightful little anthropomorphic friends who play Commander that I had taken to calling Dusters.

The term duster is something that I latched onto way back in CommanderCast’s history on episode 9 of season 6. Andy mentioned in a segment on the value of bad decks that he referred to “bad” lower powered decks as dusters. Generally the term dusters refers to scrubs or benchwarmer types that sit around and “collect dust” until they get thrown into the game at the very end when it doesn’t matter anymore. It is a term that I have used since hearing and it has even made a few appearances in several of my old articles.

I hope Dusters brings you a little enjoyment and with any luck this will be the first of many comics. I have at least a few more ideas that I have already started working on. So without taking up any more of your time here is the first installment of Dusters.
