By Eric Bonvie and Nole Clauson

378127_10150441621792624_1477312954_nrdorange smallnolenew90This week on Rival’s Duel, Eric and Nole are getting pumped for new Journey into Nix spoilers, as well as talking about 5 color Commander decks. Specifically, they are debating which is more broken, 5 color combo decks (mostly revolving around Hermit Druid) or 5 color tribal theme decks, such as the feared? Maligned?  Overrated Sliver Overlord tribal decks. As always Shownotes after the break.

0:00-11:21- Introduction and LOTS and LOTS of NEWS!!!

So last episode was definitely the calm before the storm as far as news in the world of magic goes. This week we are flooded news. Journey into Nix spoilers have started rolling out so we go over the one legendary creature out so far (Note: This episode was recorded on the morning of 4/7 so Iroas was the only legendary creature so far.) as well as speculate wildly about what the new mechanics will bring. We also make fun of the newest duel decks’ name as that’s all we know about it.

11:22-19:48- Reader Mailbag

Eric and Nole are taking time this week to answer a backlog of reader e-mail. Eric points a listener to some tips about Prossh, both of them sing the praises of Grafted Wargear, and Nole contemplates changing his mailing address as to avoid a merry little Christmas elf who sent him a care package.

19:49-36:55- The Battle of all Five Colors

This week we take on a listener’s question of which is the more broken general, with Nole arguing for Hermit Druid casting Scion of the Ur-Dragon and Eric choosing tribal favorite Sliver Overlord. Which of these two five color nastys is the worst? Give us a listen and leave us a comment below.
