Strategy: Damage Sharing Program
April 15, 2015
By Aaron D. AKA Uncle Landdrops
April has been dubbed Red Month here on CommanderCast, and even though I’ve got a backlog of articles about why we shouldn’t be playing Pheldagriff Group Hug to how to use our life as a resource, this week I’m going to indulge my writer A.D.D. and re-ignite a classic Commander multiplayer conversation about combat. It’s anarchistic, impulsive, turn-sideways confrontational – all of the makings of a topic that feels very, very Red.

Strategy: Control, But With Mountains
April 29, 2015
By Aaron AKA Uncle Landdrops
In case this happens to be the first Strategy installment you’ve read here on CommanderCast, all you need to know for today is two things. The first – it’s RED MONTH, where we are saluting all fans of Goblins, Shamans, Elementals, Viashino, Cyclops, and other monsters and spells that require Mountain mana, and two – I love Rogue Deckbuilding.
Today, we’re re-opening the old doors of Carlos’ Arcane Lab to get weird and science-y as we run down some cool tech and tricks for a neat spin on a traditional Magic archetype: Mono-Red Control.

It’ll kinda be like getting a Golden Ticket in a Chocolate Bar, except without the Chocolate Bar, or Carlos’ infinite Zubera Combo.

Wherever knowledge goes, misinformation is sure to follow. Some topics can be confusing. Magic is a place where this is true more often than not. “No Uncertain Terms” is meant to give all players that same base of requisite knowledge to completely understand an issue; to give all Magic players, new and old, the language to communicate and fully understand each other.
Strategy: The Curious Case of Mana Curvature

On the Twitter end, I got the first of what I hope to be many reader-requested topics for articles from @alittlecheeky, who wrote:
“I’m a Deck Construction nerd! Can you talk about mana curves in EDH?”
Now, this is more of a tangential contribution to the things I normally talk about, but since I’m still in the “lemonade stand/childhood detective agency” stages of readership and reputation here on CommanderCast, I can afford to give out two free refills and a no-case-too-small guarantee. That’s just good business.
