CommanderCast Ep 454 – Looking Back at Ikoria: Lair of Behemoths
August 30, 2021
Hello everyone and welcome to CommanderCast Episode 454! This week, in preparation of the upcoming fall set and Standard rotation, Mark and Adam are taking a look back at one of the most controversial sets in recent memory that’s on it way out of Standard, Ikoria: Lair of Behemoths! This set came with all of the issues with Companion, trying to understand how Mutate worked, and some of the first cards in the game to have artwork of licensed properties that are not owned by WotC or Hasbro. Now as the time comes for it to leave Standard, is the a home for any of the cards from Ikoria in Commander, or will it disappear from memory only to be talked about in passing conversations of “Do you remember when I attacked your planeswalker with Godzilla?”. But first, The Professor has a video (linked below) that talks about how Magic is having a product overload. This is a topic we feel we need to talk about and touch on before the newest set drops and we get pulled into that next preview season.

CommanderCast Ep 285 – Who Doesn’t Love Cycling?
June 5, 2017
Hello everyone and welcome to CommanderCast Episode 285! We’re your weekly source for Community, Strategy, and Technology, hosted on MTGcast.com and our homesite: CommanderCast.com! This week Mark and Adam are going over a few spoilers for the upcoming set, Hour of Devastation! Then after that we move into a discussion on Cycling. You see some old mechanics of Magic have a tendency to show up in newer sets. This leads to certain ones building up enough cards to eventually make a Commander deck with that was a few cards short. Plus Mark really just wants to build this deck and where else better to discuss it than here.
